Sculptra (PLLA-collagen stimulator) is an injectable that improves the quality, volume and thickness of the skin by stimulating collagen production. However, it is different from hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers as it stimulates the fibroblasts to produce new collagen fibres, whereas HA fillers physically occupy the space under the tissue to smooth out wrinkles.
